Tom Delaney CBEC®, QPFC

Wealth Management Advisor
(503) 655-4505

Tom first got the finance bug back in 1991, when he interned on the NYSE. After attending SUNY Albany, he went to work on Wall St as an institutional bond broker, acting as an intermediary between large banks and brokerage houses. He founded the distressed debt section of his trading desk, and specialized in being a port in the storm for his trading clients during sometimes chaotic, news driven trading environments.

After becoming a financial advisor in 2014, Tom dove into financial planning and helping people make sense of often confusing financial options. He now specializes in working with successful professionals and business owners who want help optimizing strategies to help them retain and grow their wealth.

The Certified Business Exit Consultant (CBEC®) and Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC) designations that Tom has achieved indicate his dedication to helping business owners keep and retain employees through their company retirement plans as well as helping them plan for the inevitable: exiting their business and going to the next step in their lives.

Tom lives in Portland with his wife Amy and his son Charlie, and has a grown daughter, Abbie, who has now flown the nest.

Tom cares deeply about the community, and is a member of the City Club of Portland. He frequently volunteers with local organizations such as SOLVE Portland, St. Vincent de Paul, and Club EMU (a club for adults with disabilities).

You may spot him out on the river in the summer, on the slopes in the winter, or hiking in the forests in any season. He looks forward to working with you!
